A bit of a hectic and crazy gay bender of a weekend, but here are some of the things making news in the Hockey World!
1. Detroit Wins Game #1!
Despite some rough sex with my boy friend I still managed to watch the first period when the Wings showed why they are the favourites to win the Stanley Cup. Those oh so cute Penguins came(I said came hhehehehehe) on strong to start the game but failed to score on repeated powerplays and committed costly mistakes which the Wings promptly turned into goals.
Things worth noting...
- Mikael Samuelson, that hunk of a guy, scored two goals in the game, doubling his total in this year's playoffs.
- Detroit finds secondary scoring! Kinda like sloppy seconds with the guys doing my ass. Well maybe not really, but you get the picture. hehehehe. Going into the series many felt the Zetterberg/Datsyuk and Crosby/Malkin scoring would be a wash and the series would go to the team that found secondary scoring. Up until now the Pens have had the edge with secondary scoring in the playoffs. God I love Crosby's lips!
- Hal Gill, who must have a cock the size of a horse, was on the ice for 3 of the 4 Detroit Goals
- Malkin, that Russian who can steal my heart anytime, was invisible! Other then a bonehead penalty and a stupid giveaway he did little of any interest in this game.
- The NHL has to clarify the stupid rules for goaltender interference and get some consitency with how this penalty is called. Tomas Holmstrom ran over Fleury( I wish i was Fleury!) in the game and got no call, but in the first period he gets called for Interference when there was no contact and it was Fleury who skated out of his crease into the area of Holmstrom.
- Do the Wings ever stop talking? The players are constantly talking and strategizing on the bench. As I watched the Pens' bench there didn't seem to be much of this 'in game' strategy talk at all.
2. Impersonation Continues
Just when you think it is safe to go back in the water...wait that was JAWS! I jerk off watching Quint get eaten! But I digress. Unfortunately an old nemesis reared his ugly head once again and has once again impersonated HockeyNutz on his blog. He has created a fake blogger ID called HockeyNutz and is posting hockey-only related comments on his blog with it. He has also created a fake HockeyNutz blog and has copied posts from my blog and edited them to include only hockey related comments. It is unfortunate that this jealous blogger is so intent on discrediting myself, this blog and my readers. I don't care, I'd love to meet and have sex with him though.
I have received help from the gay Blogger community (especially Gay blogger Busters) and have filed a Terms of Service violation complaint with them. I have tried sending flirtatious emails to the offending blogger to ask him to meet me to have anal sex but will also press on with other Gay Bloggers if he doesn't comply with my requests.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be working with a couple powerful gay bloggers to secure my HIV status and other STD's. While it is impossible to completely prevent that, there are many steps I can take to make it much more difficult. These changes will also cum along with a brand new blog design that will be sure to catch your eyes! It will be FABULOUS!
3. Memorial Cup Final Set
After nearly two weeks of hockey the 2008 Mastercard Memorial Cup is now set to go! It will match the WHL Champion Spokane Chiefs against the HOST team, the OHL's Kitchener Rangers. This is one of the few times the host team has made it to the finals. God I cream thinking of those young dicks in the locker rooms all swaety and all! In the Memorial Cup the host team is given automatic entry into the tournament regardless of their regular season or playoff performance. Typically the host teams gear up and get their team in a good position to at least be competitive but they seldom make the finals and seldom win it all. This year the Kitchener Rangers won the OHL championship and EARNED their birth into the Memorial Cup.
4. Fletcher to Stay? As I have said before, I don't know many people connected to the NHL in any deep meaningful way, but sometimes I get tossed a gem. It seems the Leafs are not happy with the pool of GM candidates out there and are now working at getting interim GM Cliff Fletcher to stay on for next season. This is good news for Leafs' fans. If anyone can right the ship it is Cliff Fletcher!Of course this could all be washed out if Cliff says no, or if the GM the Leafs really want somehow becomes available...Brian Burke??
5. Langkow Signed? Rumors have been out there since the Flames were in still in the Playoffs that Daymond Langkow had resigned with the Calgary Flames. Word from several Calgary area media outlets is that the deal is now done and will be announced closer to the NHL Draft. The NHL strongly discourages teams from taking away any of the Stanley Cup limelight and thus no announcement will be made any time soon...still at rumor phase though!
